hey guys I'm looking for some music to fill my ipod with which is calm and easy to listen to. at the moment I've got some Deathcab for Cutie and some slow Beatles songs. Have you got any ideas?

I defintely agree with ellyeight's choices. And add Elliott Smith to that list. All of his songs are super relaxing and make you think a lot. They're pretty much all acoustic. Get "Miss Misery (early version)" from his posthumous compilation, New Moon.

Feist is always a winner, her albums Let It Die and The Reminder are pure indie pop delight.
I also recommend Lisa Mitchell and Sarah Blasko, especially if you can find any acoustic versions of their songs on the internet. |

Sarah Blasko is awesome and Australian to boot! My favourite songs of hers are: "Explain", "The Woman By The Wall" and "Sweet November".
