Today marks the 12th anniversary of the day that Skynet became self-aware. Yes, if you were John Connor in the year 1997 you’d be shitting yourself knowing that an army of Terminators was about to beat down on you.

So to mark this ostentatious occasion grab some friends and watch the first three movies (or the quadrilogy if you can) from start to finish, celebrating the fact that this is a work of fiction and robots don’t actually rule the world… yet.

Hopefully the next installment will provide that full scale humans-vs-terminators war that we’ve been waiting for since the first movie came out.

If you’re not convinced that spending an evening watching Terminator movies is a grand idea then you could always say that you’re “supporting local talent.” Sam Worthington (Australia’s very-own home-grown Perth-mown) gives a heart-felt performance in Terminator Salvation, outshining Christian Bale’s somewhat one dimensional acting.

But seriously, who wouldn’t want to see Arnie in his prime?
